Welcome

Thoughts for the day:

In fact, the true limits to growth are not the earth's stocks of natural resources such as coal, oil and iron, which are bought and sold at prices that will rise to reflect their increasing scarcity.  The limits are the capacity of the environment to deal with waste in all its forms and with the "critical" resources-the ozone layer, the carbon cycle and the Amazon Forest-that play no direct part in the world commerce but that serve the most basic economic function of all, which is to enable human beings to survive.
          -Frances Cairncross

I write every day for at least two hours and I spend the rest of my time largely in the society of ducks.
